The details for the Michigan Genealogical Council / Archives of Michigan Fall Seminar is available! Our seminar this year will be Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Michigan Historical Center, 702 W. Kalamazoo St., Lansing, from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The building will open at 9:00 am with complimentary coffee, tea, and water in the cafeteria. The first session begins at 9:40. Our keynote speaker this year is Shirley Gage Hodges and her first talk will be Using Township Records. There are four additional breakout sessions throughout the remainder of the day. Early bird registration is $35 until October 27. October 28 and later is $45.
An optional box lunch is available for $7.50. The box lunch includes a sandwich, fruit cup, cookie or brownie, and water. Grand Traverse Pie Co. is supplying the lunches. The Archives of Michigan will be open for research on this day from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend the seminar sessions but would like to research in the Archives, you are encouraged to do so. As always, there is no charge for using the Archives.
